Digitization of monuments revives cultural heritage and regions. Želiv and Strahov set an example

Digitalization is becoming a key tool in the preservation and accessibility of Czech cultural heritage. Projects that combine history with modern technologies not only preserve monuments for future generations but also support tourism and regional development. Two recent examples demonstrate how digitalization can transform the perception of the past – in the Premonstratensian monasteries in Želiv and at Strahov in Prague.

The old prelature at Želiv Monastery received the Vysočina Construction Award for quality craftsmanship restoration. Visit the permanent exhibition in the historic complex, where cultural heritage blends with modern use.
Monastery breweries brewed their own pilgrimage specials, and Plzeň also joined in.
